The unforeseen events of 2020 forced businesses across the globe to rethink their normal way of operating. Such was the case for Chambers and Partners, which “identifies and ranks the most outstanding law firms and lawyers in over 180 jurisdictions throughout the world.”
Following the close of its 2021 USA research period, Chambers released a research brochure detailing the in-depth process implemented, despite turbulent circumstances, to finalize this year’s rankings.
According to the report, the Chambers USA 2021 research period ran from August 2, 2020 to February 26, 2021 for a total of 208 days. The process enlisted 41 full-time and 18 part-time researchers who conducted 31,189 interviews and reviewed a total of 10,576 submissions.
“This research cycle was particularly challenging as we had to adapt to remote working and contend with the challenges of the global pandemic, but I am extremely proud of the dedication and hard work the research team has shown every step of the way,” Chambers USA Editor Toby Eccleshall says in the brochure. “We are also very grateful to everyone who participated in our research and to those who have helped facilitate conversations with lawyers and their clients.”
The complete Chambers USA 2021 rankings will be available on May 20, 2021. To learn more about the Chambers research process, visit chambers.com.
