The AP Stylebook is constantly evolving with the addition of new terms and the editing of old ones. The 2016 version launched on June 1 with a few important changes.
One of the most notable updates is that “internet” and “web” are now to be lowercased. It also stresses that these two terms are not interchangeable and it provides proper definitions for each: “internet” refers to the worldwide network of computers; the “web” is a service.
As public relations professionals, Poston Communications stays up-to-date on all changes made to the AP Stylebook.
