An internship is a great way for college students to gain real-life experience before stepping into their first career in public relations.
At Poston Communications, we take our internship program seriously, and we take our interns seriously, too.
We are focused on developing future leaders in PR, and we have created our internship program to provide hands-on experience combined with learning opportunities for recent graduates, undergraduate students in their senior year of college and graduate students.
The 12-week full-time program in our Atlanta and Orlando offices covers all substantive areas that prepare our interns to take on the role of assistant account executive in our firm, as well as leadership topics, workstyle assessments and discussions on real-life career issues. We assign our interns to client teams to write and pitch story ideas to reporters and coordinate media placements.
We are looking for forward-focused self-starters with demonstrated leadership in their school work, extracurricular activities and their communities. Intern candidates should be prepared to work hard, serve our clients exceptionally and subscribe to our philosophy of teamwork and collaboration. Ideally, a potential intern candidate should be seeking an internship that will lead to a full-time career.
Our summer internships begin in June. We’re making final decisions on candidates now, so don’t delay. More details are here.
Individuals who want to gain experience with a dynamic, growing company should send their resume, cover letter and two writing samples to [email protected]. But remember – attention to detail is important. Writing and communication is, after all, what we do for a living. We look forward to welcoming our next group of outstanding interns!
