Poston Communications is pleased to welcome Jonathan Ringel, Carisa Turner and Leslie Valenza to its Content and Crisis teams. Ringel and Turner join in Atlanta and Valenza joins in Richmond, Va., adding to Poston’s distributed workforce. The additions come as part of the agency’s continued growth strategy and commitment to expanding its roster of senior-level professionals.

Jonathan Ringel joined Poston Communications as senior vice president of content after 26 years writing and editing news stories about the practice of law. Ringel utilizes his experience to create client alerts, articles and other content that underscores clients’ business development goals. At the Daily Report in Atlanta, he covered the business of law firms, the Georgia General Assembly, state and federal courts and, during a stint in ALM’s Washington office, the U.S. Supreme Court and Senate Judiciary Committee. Ringel served as the managing editor of the Daily Report from 2005 to 2021, overseeing a transformation from a print-centric newspaper to a digital-first operation and guiding coverage that won multiple awards from the Associated Press and Georgia Press associations.
He earned bachelor’s degrees from the Wharton School and the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. He also received an M.B.A. from Emory University.
As a vice president, Carisa Turner serves as a public relations adviser and communication counselor to clients, helping organizations build trust, confidence, understanding and loyalty with stakeholders. As a member of Poston’s Crisis and Litigation Public Relations team, Turner is expanding the division’s capabilities and also bringing depth to the agency’s leadership communications services. Throughout her career, she has counseled organizations and their leadership on public relations planning, strategic messaging, media relations, crisis communications and issues management, leadership communication, public outreach, stakeholder relations, change management and communications coaching.
She earned bachelor’s degrees in both journalism and Spanish from Mercer University.
Leslie Valenza joins Poston Communications as vice president of content client services, bringing 15 years of legal marketing experience to the position. She oversees Poston’s roster of writers and is expanding the agency’s Content division’s services with video and podcasting capabilities. Before joining Poston Communications, she worked for nearly 10 years at an Am Law 100 firm where she collaborated with practice chairs, office managing partners and other leaders to elevate the firm’s brand in key markets and industries. As manager of media relations, she conducted targeted media outreach, advised on social media strategy and created internal and external content, including videos.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from American University.
