Lance Godard works with lawyers to produce content that people read.
He draws on nearly three decades of legal marketing experience, including more than 15 years in the in-house marketing department of one of the world’s largest firms and as content editor at a popular source of business and legal intelligence, to provide innovative content solutions to clients of Poston Communications. Lance estimates that he’s helped lawyers and firms improve just about every type of written content they produce, including press releases, practice descriptions, biographies, proposals, award nominations, speeches, blog posts and more.
As self-described “content geek,” Lance regularly writes and speaks on how lawyers and other professionals can improve their written work and increase readership. In the early days of digital marketing, he conducted 100 live Twitter interviews of practicing lawyers and twice earned recognition in the ABA Journal’s annual “Blawg 100” listing.
Lance is active in the legal marketing profession: He was a board member for the Ohio Chapter of the International Legal Marketing Association for five years, co-chair of LMA’s Social and Digital Marketing Special Interest Group for more than four years, and co-chair of the association’s Technology Committee for two.
When he’s not out on his bike or in the yoga studio, you’ll probably find him reading.
