Megan Paquin has been trusted to lead communications strategies for some of the world’s most respected brands. Her career spans more than a decade and includes significant experience in the health care, technology, education, nonprofit, hospitality and entertainment sectors. As a communicator, Megan thrives in complex, high-stakes situations. Her work in crisis and issues management have proven essential to safeguard the reputations of her clients. With experience in a broad range of legal matters and vulnerabilities that exist in today’s world, Megan effectively counsels clients and collaborate with legal counsel on critical issues such as data breaches, consumer data privacy, natural disasters, various criminal activities and management issues.
In addition to her work on the Poston Communications’ crisis team, Megan leads some of our agency’s top law firm and professional services client teams. Her results have included work on behalf of top Am Law firms and midsized firms alike and includes placements in publications such as The National Law Journal, Corporate Counsel, Politico, Industry Today, Bloomberg, Healthcare Risk Management and University Business.
Megan began her career in public relations with MGM Resorts International, coordinating major broadcast and international media relations for its iconic Las Vegas destinations. Her reputation for excellence and integrated marketing experience led to communications leadership roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman and Hyatt Regency Orlando. Then, at Orlando advertising agency &Barr, Megan led the advancement of the firm’s public relations practice. Combining experience across industries along with her business acumen and media relations expertise, Megan served as the firm’s crisis communications leader to help clients deftly navigate through myriad sensitive issues and ensure business continuity. She has developed numerous award-winning campaigns and secured countless, top-tier media placements positioning clients for growth and influence in their target markets.
Megan has an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), is a Certified Public Relations Counselor (CPRC) and serves as president-elect of the Florida Public Relations Association’s Orlando chapter. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in organizational communication from the University of Central Florida. Later, she became one of the first students to receive a master’s degree in the emerging field of behavioral economics from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
An Orlando native, Megan loves spending time in her downtown neighborhood with her husband, two daughters and three dogs.
