Betsy McKinney

Betsy McKinney joins the Poston Communications team as an Assistant Account Executive. She drafts press releases, pitches to local and national media outlets to obtain client placements and works with the public relations and content teams on various projects.

Before joining Poston Communications, Betsy worked as a public relations professional in the healthcare field. There, she honed her communications and project management skills. Betsy also interned with health and nonprofit organizations, learning about social media, graphic design and website management.

Betsy earned her bachelor’s in human development and family studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also holds certificates in digital studies and graphic design from the University of Wisconsin.

In her free time, she enjoys walking around Central Park in New York City, curating playlists and spending time with friends and family.
