Briana Willson is a crisis intern at Poston Communications, where she applies her analytical and communication skills to help organizations prepare for and respond to a range of challenging situations. Originally from California, Briana earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and journalism before moving to the Midwest to pursue a Juris Doctor at the University of Minnesota Law School. Now in her third and final year, she remains active on campus through peer mentoring groups and serves on the board of the Latinx Law Student Association.
Before joining Poston, Briana gained experience in several legal settings, including private practice and public defense, where she worked directly with clients. She also helped write the data privacy chapter in the Practicing Law Institute’s “Communications Law in the Digital Age.”
In her free time, Briana enjoys running along the Mississippi River, reading history books and watching movies with friends.
