Eric Black

Eric Black is an assistant account executive on the Poston Communications team. He drafts press releases, pitches to local and national media outlets, and works with the public relations and content teams on a variety of projects.

Before joining Poston, Eric was part of the public affairs team at a nonprofit in New York City, where he wrote and created content including press releases, newsletters, stories and more. Having spent years in the journalism industry, he enjoys talking to people to learn about and share their unique stories.

Eric earned his bachelor’s degree in newspaper and online journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where he also minored in sport management. There, he honed his communications and public relations skills by writing and editing for The Daily Orange, Syracuse University’s independent student newspaper, including serving as a beat reporter for various Syracuse sports teams.

A New Jerseyan through and through, Eric lives near Newark and is a volunteer firefighter in his hometown near the Jersey Shore. In his free time, he enjoys walking with his dog and playing softball.
