Katie Malahias

Katie Malahias is a junior associate at Poston Communications, where she drafts pitches to local and national media outlets, press releases and develops communication strategies for clients.

Previously, Katie was an Intern at Poston Communications during her second year at New York University School of Professional Studies, where she earned her master’s degree in public relations and corporate communications.

Before joining Poston, Katie worked as a coordinator in the Alumni Affairs department at the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While there, she excelled in managing the school’s social media presence, writing press releases and crafting content highlighting faculty and student achievements that aligned with strategic outreach goals.

Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations and communication studies from the University of Miami School of Communication.

Originally from South Florida, Katie currently resides in New York City, where she enjoys trying new restaurants and attending Yankee games.
