Leyla is a Public Relations and Advertising major with a minor in Political Science at the University of Central Florida. As a first-generation college student, Leyla is passionate about using strategic communication to influence public discourse and connect with diverse audiences. She brings a unique blend of storytelling and analytical thinking to the table, grounded in her academic work and professional experience in both communications and finance sectors.
Prior to transitioning into PR, Leyla worked with CPA firms in Florida and Georgia, where she gained valuable experience in accounting and financial operations. This background sharpened her attention to detail and provided her with an in-depth understanding of data interpretation and strategic planning— insights she now applies to public relations. On campus, she is actively involved in the Quotes Ad/PR club, through which she has attended industry workshops, connected with mentors, and developed a strong network of professionals.
Outside of her professional interests, Leyla enjoys exploring Florida trails with her Rottweiler puppy, Kenai, and getting lost in a good book. Her favorite series is The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang. She also loves salsa dancing and getting to travel to new places. After completing her undergraduate degree, Leyla plans to pursue her MBA to deeper her understanding of business analytics and continue building her career at the intersection of public relations, politics, and finance.
