Awards: Chambers USA 2025 – What’s New for Lawyers and Legal Marketers

Chambers USA 2024 is now fully available for firms, in-house counsel and marketing teams. The 2024 Chambers USA guide ranks more than 9,300 law firms across all 50 states and the District of Columbia based on research, including more than 58,000 interviews conducted between August 2023 and February 2024.

With the first deadlines for Chambers’ 2025 edition right around the corner, many lawyers and legal marketers are deep in preparation.

Why Chambers Matters

Chambers is one of the most respected law firm rankings in the U.S. and an important source of comparative intelligence about law firms. It is a key resource that clients and other legal professionals use to learn more about a firm. As law firms dedicate more time and energy to their applications, submissions have become increasingly competitive.

Chambers USA 2025 Highlights

For lawyers pursuing a Chambers ranking, start with the online Chambers USA research schedule, which can be filtered by practice area and jurisdiction.

Referees: For 2025, Chambers USA will continue to limit referee outreach for nationwide practice areas and instead considering all referee feedback from the related statewide categories. Affected categories include insurance-related, securities-related and others.

The outreach to referees by email is here to stay. Referees will receive electronic communication from the Chambers researcher assigned to the area asking them to respond to a handful of questions by email. However, referees who still wish to speak with the researcher by phone may elect to do so.
