Former Marketing and Communications Leader at Two Am Law 100 Firms Joins To Assist in Expansion in the Northeast and Internationally With a Special Focus on Communications Strategies for Law Firm Leaders
We are pleased to announce the addition of Vice President Beth Huffman. Huffman brings more than four decades of experience in communications, media, marketing and business development to the agency. She will work closely with law firm leaders from across the nation and around the globe to direct leadership communications, law firm M&A and lateral integrations, crisis communications and litigation public relations counsel and creative media relations strategies for clients, creating strategic narratives that elevate their brand and reputation, advance engagement with clients and drive revenue.
“As we step into 2025 with a renewed commitment to the Northeast, Beth’s decades-long experience and proven leadership will be instrumental in reinforcing our mission and values, commitment to service and results and future-forward practices,” said Dave Poston, CEO and general counsel of Poston Communications. “Beth’s engaging passion, history of leadership and genuine commitment to building trusted partnerships will allow us to serve alongside our clients in impactful ways.”
Immediately before joining Poston, Huffman was head of marketing at Nelson Mullins, an Am Law 100 law firm, where she was responsible for leading the branding, internal and external communications and marketing initiatives. Among her achievements, Huffman led the firm’s marketing team during significant expansion as the firm doubled in size and revenue over seven years. In a previous role, she was also global head of communications at Dechert, one of the 50 highest revenue-grossing law firms in the world, where she managed media relations, events, content and strategic marketing communications initiatives across multiple continents. While in this role, Beth traveled the globe, managing the firm’s communications department at all levels while the firm expanded significantly at an international level.
“The chance to zero in my focus on corporate journalism, shaping strategic media relationships and advancing law firm achievements through communications with Poston Communications is very exciting for me at this stage in my career,” said Huffman. “This is a pivotal opportunity to also contribute to the agency’s growth and influence in the years ahead.”
Active in the legal marketing community, Huffman founded the Law Firm Media Professionals chapter in Washington, D.C., more than a dozen years ago and will be speaking this April at the LMA Annual Conference on the future of law firm communications and public relations.
Huffman graduated with dual degrees in journalism and public relations from the University of Dayton. She started her college education by attending the University of Notre Dame, where she was the first woman to serve as sports editor for The Observer, Notre Dame’s student newspaper. Prior to beginning her law firm career, Beth spent more than a decade as a reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
