Kali Hammond, APR

Kali Hammond is responsible for providing strategic guidance by anticipating and addressing clients’ communication needs and challenges. She leads creative thinking and brainstorming sessions to develop media strategies, goals and tactics for her clients. Kali has experience in government public affairs, community relations, social and digital media marketing. During her time at Poston, she has become a valued partner to many of our law firm clients. She is a quick study on technical and complex topics, and a real go-getter when it comes to media results.

Kali has done extensive work with national, local and trade publications, specifically in the banking, cannabis, commercial real estate, construction, emerging companies, energy, federal, state and local taxes, global business, labor & employment, legal and manufacturing and distribution and technology industries and across 16 cities including, Atlanta, Birmingham, Charleston, Charlotte, Columbia, Greenville, Houston, Memphis, Miami, Myrtle Beach, Nashville, Orlando, Philadelphia, Raleigh, San Antonio and Washington, D.C.

She began her career in Florida with a county sheriff’s office managing the day-to-day operations and execution of community relations, public information, creative, social and digital media strategies. Kali brings knowledge and insight on developing informative communications campaigns, website development and maintenance, media relations and strategic planning. Prior to joining Poston, she served as an account manager at a social and digital media marketing agency, where she managed social media strategies for health care clients. Kali collaborated with client marketing staff to ensure brand consistency across 32 social media platforms. She led an accounts team that worked with brand journalists and subject matter experts to craft and submit blog entries to better inform the community on health care services and trending topics. Kali enjoys creating public relations campaigns designed to connect with members of the community.

Kali is active with Kids House of Seminole and provides pro bono public relations for the Central Florida a children advocacy center that serves as the single point of contact for child abuse investigations in Seminole County, FL. She also serves on the Board of Directors and as chair of the Marketing Committee, providing guidance, support and suggestions on brand awareness to highlight their services, events and prevention efforts.

Kali is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) by the Universal Accreditation Board and is a member of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA). She served on the board of directors for the FPRA Orlando Area Chapter for three years. Kali earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and her graduate degree from the University of Central Florida. She also has attained doctoral candidacy status at Northcentral University School of Business.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading a good book. On the weekends you can find her spending time with her husband, twin girls and their two dogs.
